Rumble in the Jungle
We have been concentrating on our questioning techniques and who, what, when and where.ON Tuesday we listened to a story called ‘Rumble in the Jungle’. It was on the ipad, but Mrs Westwood showed it to us on the IWB. What a terrific story about lots of different jungle animals.
After listening to the story and working out the who, what, when and where, we played a game where an animal from the story was placed on our back and we needed to guess who it was. We needed to ask complete sentences and we were answered with only a yes or no.
Next we broke up into groups and some of us were on the computer working on the ‘Into the Book’ site.
Another group were listening with a partner to zoo stories and then drawing their favourite character using one of the art apps available.
The third group had hand puppets and they were storyboarding about their choice of puppet using who, what, when and where and why.
The last group were listening to animal stories on the ipods and filling out a who, what, when and where story map.
